Snowball the Rabbit Welcomes His New Foster Chicken Family
February 28, 2011
In my last blog I was able to show Baby Chicks 1 & 2 and now with the birth of number seven I had to get a new cage to keep them all in until they are big enough to live outside with the other chickens.
In this entry I have added the latest pictures including the ones of number seven breaking out of her egg.
Snowball has taken his job of protecting his new chicken family very seriously and is guarding the new babies very well.
Even as a proud foster parent Snowball is like a lot of Dads and needs his nap time but he made sure Momma Hen was wide awake first.

Herbie and Cheyenne Experience Fresh Grass
July 25, 2009
I planted fresh grass seed for the horses and it has just started to grow.
I looked out and Herbie, Ogelita and Cheyenne were patiently examining it. I explained to them that it has to grow.
Well they stood there patiently waiting for it to grow and finally Cheyenne looked over and said, it is done and started eating. Of course Herbie immediately snitched her out to me.
A great combination, a beautiful day and Fresh Grass. Now they want sun glasses to laying in the sun.Â

An Update on My Horses
June 3, 2009
Â
I have added this update to show that with proper care and nourishment that horses become your lifelong friends. In fact at my age these horses will probably outlive me.
That is one of the main reasons that I keep stressing that an adoption means a lifelong commitment to the animal. No money in the bank could ever equal the pleasure you get from just a few minutes with the animals.
SNOWBALL A White Rabbit With Hope
May 17, 2009
Snowball was at the feed stoe being sold along with her bothers and sisters for people to raise and eat. I decided to buy them and bring them home. I have plenty of room for them so it is no problem for me.
My first cage was not the best and they got out. I could catch all except Snowball. She is fast.
This land is all trees with all kinds of animals including owls, racoons, and predators that might eat her.
I named her Snowball because I didn’t think she had a snowballs chance in hell of making it a week.
I built a new cage for them and she now spends her time next to the cage and eats her meals with the others, she just won’t go for the cage idea.
