Throughout history there have been many fine Medical Doctors, but in this blog you will find that there really is a “True Horse Doctor” named “Doctor Herbie”.  Now unlike most Medical Doctors, Doctor Herbie was trained in the Old School of Horse Medicine and learned through many years of dedicated experience.
Doctor Herbie has been keeping a very close eye on Cheyenne and has done a great job in her healing process.
Now during all this the Chief Administrator of this facility, “Goldie” contemplates the progress while she makes sure that she gets her share of the energy of the Great Sunshine.

Then when Cheyenne does get to be out she is accompanied  by her nurse Ogelita in her movements to make sure she doesn’t exert herself.

Cheyenne has learned that she must have Dr. Herbie’s permission if she wants to go out for exercise. He checks to make sure she is ready for activity.
During the morning check up, The Love Shack is content with hiding under a tree and having his morning Shredded Wheat or Hay as humans call it.
Of course now Nurse Ogelita is watchful during anything that might be happening in her area. She gracefully stays at attention just waiting for a chance to help in the rehabilitation.

Cheyenne’s Healing Process

February 4, 2010

Cheyenne is Healing Slowly

Last week some person hunting
deer illegally near my property at
night shot and missed the deer
but the bullet grazed the shoulder
of Cheyenne causing a bad flesh
wound.
In the past week with a lot of
doctoring and Vet bills she is
starting to heal. It requires
her pinned in so she doesn’t get
the wound dirty and that is
additional suffering for her.
Shack stays inside with her and
Herbie and Ogelita stay right
outside her stall guarding her and
watching over her constantly.
This is an example of what
happens when people are
irresponsible about guns and
hunting.

My question is: Just what is so
much fun in sneaking through the
dark of night to shoot a helpless
deer or any other animal. If it is
because of hunger and need for
food, I suggest that the person
apply for food stamps and
purchase their food at a store.

Warning: These pictures are a
little graphic and show the wound.

After reading this and seeing the
results of improper use of a
firearm and illegal hunting

you should think about the so
called sportsman shooting and
killing our animals for satisfying
their ego.
